On Tursday, we went over our himework on study guide.  We dissussed the author of the story, the complication and the resolution. I learned that there was no actual author to the story because this story had been pass on for centuries and no one remember the original author. After we had discussed our homework, Ms.Brown gave us a work sheet to make a book report on “The Wise Old Woman”.  Ms. Brown explained to us how to do the book reports and our home work was to finish the book report.

My grandpa is kind of amusing. He once work as a manager in a golf course so most of the interesting experience is about the golf course.

My grandpa said every day after 5:00 pm, he went to the golf course to play golf with his friend. One day, when it was windy and raining with lighting, he still went to play golf. When he walk done the course to find his ball, suddenly a tree that was 10 meter away from him get hit by the lighting. He gasped when he saw the fire on the tree and the terrifing breaking twig sound. He quickly throw away his golf club and crawl as quickly as possible  to leave the place.

He told me never play golf when there’s lighting. I was surprise that how calm he was when the lighting strikes on the tree. If I was him, I will be screaming and running away from the site which i could be  hit by lighting.  

On Thursday, we revise our personal narrative essay. I heard may interesting story about accident, trips, test and week end. Each of them were very interesting, especially Peggy and Ben, which they talk about accidents. I can’t hear some of them because they read too quitely.

On Friday, we do our regular Friday test and today the passage in the test talk about sword. We learned that sword are the symbol of rank and hornor and it’s still work the same today. I had learned some arts about sword when I learned Kendo. We also reread the “Wise Old Woman” story today. The wise old woman story contains some events that I don’t think can acutally happen in real life. We also had lots of home work on writting a retelling guide.

This week was quite better than the 1st week of school. I had learned to do experiments, steps to write an essay and learned the Islamic World. For Math class, we are going to have a test on the 1st chapter, which is kind of easy. For biology class, we had do the Slug Slim investigation, the Is it Alive or not investigation and the paper experiment. It is hard to decide if an object is nonliving or living. For example , we are not sure is a bean is non living or not and is a potato is living or not. For World history class, we had learned the 5 pillars of Islam. These are the Faith, Alms, Prayer, Fasting and Pilmgramage, accoring to them, if you do not follow these pillars, you are not a true Muslim.
